The increase in global conflicts, devastating natural disasters, and profound social transformations causes many to wonder if humanity has already entered the period biblically known as the Great Tribulation.
To understand the current landscape, the best starting point is Jesus' own words in the Gospels — Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 — where He described the signs that would precede the end times.
The Signs Pointed Out by Jesus
When the disciples asked about the sign of His coming and the end of the age, Jesus did not give them a specific date. Instead, He gave them signs and warnings so that His followers would remain spiritually awake and vigilant.

Prophecy calls us to faithfulness.
It reminds us that this world is temporary, that evil will not have the final word, and that God remains sovereign even when the world appears to be falling apart.

We must continue to preach the Gospel.

And above all, we must keep our eyes on Christ.
Jesus did not call His followers to calculate dates.
He called them to remain faithful until He comes.

Perhaps the most important lesson of the signs of the times is not that we should become experts in predicting the future.
It is that we should become more faithful followers of Jesus today.
If the Lord were to return tomorrow, would we be ready?
If He gives us many more years, how will we use them?

We may not know the day or the hour.
But we know the One who holds the future.
And that is enough.
