Introduction
We are living in times where truth is constantly being questioned. What is right seems wrong, and what is wrong is presented as right. Jesus had already warned us about this.
In Matthew chapter 24, He speaks about the signs of the end times—and among them, one of the most dangerous is the rise of false teachers.
This is not something distant.
It is for our days.
1. Jesus’ warning is clear
Jesus did not say “maybe.” He said: “will appear.”
This means:
- It is not a surprise
- It is not a coincidence
- It is prophetic fulfillment
Jesus Christ Himself prepared us for this reality.
These false Christs:
- Look real
- Speak like they are real
- Even perform impressive signs
But they do not come from God.
2. The purpose of deception
The Bible is clear: the goal is to deceive.
And not just anyone…
👉 The text says: “if possible, even the elect.”
That means:
- The attack is directed at believers
- At those who know the Word
- At those who are standing firm
The enemy does not waste time with those already lost—he tries to bring down those who are standing.
3. How false teachers operate today
Today, false prophets are not only in temples…
They are:
- On social media
- In viral videos
- In “beautiful” but empty messages
- In teachings that please more than they convict
They say things like:
- “There is no sin”
- “Everyone has their own truth”
- “The Bible is outdated”
- “Jesus is just a teacher, not the Savior”
Little by little, this creates doubt and weakens faith.
4. Warning signs so you won’t be deceived
The Word of God teaches us to discern.
Be careful with those who:
- Distort the Bible
- Preach a gospel without repentance
- Put man at the center instead of God
- Deny that Jesus is the only way
đź“– Remember what is written in the Gospel of John 14:6:
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
5. How to remain firm in the truth
To avoid deception, we must:
✔️ Know the Word
Those who know the truth recognize lies.
✔️ Have intimacy with God
Not just hearing about Him—but having a relationship.
✔️ Spiritual discernment
Not everything that seems from God is from God.
✔️ Remain in Jesus
The closer you are to Him, the harder it is to be deceived.
Conclusion
Jesus warned us because He loves us.
Deception will be great.
Confusion will be intense.
But the truth remains the same.
👉 The Bible has not changed
👉 Jesus has not changed
👉 The way is still only one
Do not abandon your faith.
Do not compromise the truth.
Do not trade the eternal for the temporary.
Call to Action
If there is doubt in your heart…
If you have been feeling confused…
If voices have been trying to pull you away from the truth…
Today is the day to return to the center: Jesus.
Closing Prayer
Lord God,
Help us remain firm in Your Word.
Open our spiritual eyes so we may discern what comes from you and what does not.
Guard our hearts against deception.
Strengthen our faith so we are not led by false teachings.
May we recognize Your voice above every other voice.
And may we never turn away from the truth found in Christ Jesus.
